Here is a wee insight into what apps I currently have on my phone and how I use them. Note: I have the iPhone 6s, 64gb running iOS 11. Page One:This page is the general page containing most of the apps that all iPhone's come with when you purchase them. Messages - I definitely use Facebook Messenger more than texting but it is an awesome tool to use. I get unlimited texts with my plan on Skinny Direct. Calendar, Reminders & Notes - using my phone can sometimes be a lot more efficient than using a paper diary. I use these apps a lot to remind me to do things and make me aware of appointments or commitments I have coming up that I may have forgotten about. Photos - I back up all of my photos to Google Photos so that I know I still have them incase my phone craps out, but still use Photos for in-the-moment looks at the photos I have just taken. Camera - taking photos means you can look back at memories with the touch of a button which I think is truly amazing. I think it is safe to say I use this app religiously. Clock - mainly used as an alarm clock and that is about it, but I also use it to see the time around the world, for instance my brother lives in Alaska so it is cool to use the world clock to see the time over there. Wallet - great for activities such as scanning your ticket for a flight, checking your eftpos card number and completing transactions. App Store & Settings - surely you know how these ones work. Skinny Direct - I use Skinny Direct as my phone provider, and with my current plan I pay $30 a month and get 3gb of data, unlimited calls and unlimited texts. More for less really - it cuts out the middle man meaning they can provide cheaper rates. ANZ go money - this is an easy and efficient way to make payments and transfer money between accounts. I have many accounts for different things so it is great to be able to see my balances and transfer with the press of a button. Find iPhone - I have never actually had to use this app thankfully and I now have a Tile so it has been made redundant. Phone - making phone calls is quicker and easier than texting in my opinion, so I call people quite often. I also use the contacts within this app which is why I don't use the Contacts app. Facetime - an Apple version of Skype. I have only used this a couple of times but it works well. Google Chrome - personally, I prefer Google Chrome over Safari, and find I use this app frequently so it is best positioned at the bottom where I know where to find it with ease. Apps on this page I rarely/never use: Maps, Weather, Stocks, Videos, iBooks, iTunes Store, Health, Contacts, Music, Calculator, Compass, Home. Page Two.YouTube - nearly every day I watch YouTube videos to keep me entertained. Tile - amazing GPS tracking device so I don't lose my phone, keys or wallet. Gmail - I find this much easier to use than the Apple 'Mail' app, so this gets a lot of use. Google Photos - used to back up my photos onto the cloud for safe keeping. Spotify - I love listening to music and I keep it cheap by being in a Spotify family. Air NZ - ease of use for travelling on Air New Zealand flights. Pebble - this app connects to my watch and feeds it information and all notifications from my phone. Netflix - I don't often watch Netflix but when I find a show I love, I use it very often. Facebook - this is probably the most used app on my phone. I think its great for keeping up with all the latest information to do with the world and my friends and family. Messenger - I use Messenger more frequently than texting, it is my main form of social media communication. Snapchat - this app is so fun to use to talk to people and take awesome pictures to share. Instagram - lets me keep up with what friends, family, groups and celebs are doing day-to-day. Google Maps - I use this app instead of the Apple Maps as it is easier to use and I find it more accurate and up to date. Anyone that has the Google Maps app open is feeding information back to Google to interpret the fastest route, traffic patterns and average speeds. Twitter - used mostly to post about my new blog posts! Chuck us a follow? @_ntray Grabaseat - checking out the best prices for my next trip! Stocard - very similar to 'Wallet' but it lets you enter data manually. Drive - all my documents, presentations and sheets on Google Drive are stored in this app. Docs - easier to edit documents on the Drive. Snapseed - my main picture-editing app (I hardly edit photos though). NZ Blood - I donate blood as often as I can so this is great to see when I can donate next and make appointments to do so! GoPro - connects to my GoPro, I have the Hero 4, Black. Romer - shows you things to do in your area and allows you to make plans with other Romers. Trade Me - buying and selling app for New Zealanders. NZ Post - allows you to see where your package is and a scheduled date for its arrival! Page Three.Extras - apps I hardly use. Weebly - to edit my website on the go! Skype - allows me to keep in contact with friends and family in good quality video form. Mail - I use Gmail mostly for emails but Mail sometimes works well. Ultimate Ears - to connect to my UE Boom and change settings on it. Cash Passport - an international currency card for travelling. Uber - Blenheim doesn't have Uber but having this app comes in useful for when booking an Uber in a big city. Houzz - interior designing ideas. I love getting fresh ideas, even if they don't come to fruition personally. WeMo - used to control any WeMo smart device (light switches, wall plugs etc). We use the lights. TripAdvisor - more inspiration for doing things in the area, both locally and beyond. Geocaching - this is an app we used for a while where you find different caches all over the world. When I Work - used to see when shifts are and when shifts are available. Flipagram - I used to use this app to make videos for friend's birthdays. I haven't used it in a long time though, but it is good to have incase I do decide to use it. PhotoGrid - editing and collaging photos. Ticketmaster - to find and purchase tickets - for instance, Ed Sheeran in March! AliExpress - a great app for finding things to buy for relatively cheap prices, but bear in mind that shipping usually takes a while. Reddit - threads on certain topics that you follow. Sometimes a very interesting read. Lightbox - I downloaded this to watch the seventh season of Suits because I couldn't wait for it to come out on Netflix. Dominos - Fast and easy ordering of your favourite pizza. Subway - Fast and easy ordering of your favourite sub. Page Four.Games and boredom busters:
8 Ball Pool, Quiz Up, Pako, 1010, Clash of Clans, Sudoku, Dots, Dune, Ballz, Evil Apples, Blackbox, Subway Surf, Bounce, Doodle Jump, Family Feud, Flip Diving, Dumb Ways to Die, Soccer Drills, That's You, PlayStation.
